Triple Filter Test

In ancient India, One day a person met the great Chanakya,  and said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?"

"Hold on a minute," Chanakya replied.
"Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test.
It's called the Triple Filter Test."
"Triple filter?"
"That's right," Chanakya continued.
"Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say.
That's why I call it the triple filter test.

The first filter is Truth.
Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"
"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and..."
"All right," said Chanakya.
"So you don't know if it's true or not.
Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness.
Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?"
"No, on the contrary..."
"So," Chankaya continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true.
You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left, the filter of Usefulness.
Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"
"No, not really."

"Well," concluded chankaya, "if what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me at all ? Why ?? Don't waste my time n energy!
Be positive, use your time for self development and for the benefit of society!"

स्वर्गलोक की करेंसी

~"मेरा सपना"~

कल रात मैंने एक "सपना" देखा.
सपने में मैं और मेरी Family शिमला घूमने गए.!!
हम सब शिमला की रंगीन वादियों में कुदरती नजारा देख रहे थे.!! जैसे ही हमारी Car Sunset Point की ओर निकली... अचानक गाडी के Break फेल हो गए और हम सब करीबन 1500 फिट गहरी खाई में जा गिरे.!!
मेरी तो on the spot Death हो गई.

जीवन में कुछ अच्छे कर्म किये होंगे इसलिये यमराज मुझे स्वर्ग में ले गये.

देवराज इंद्र ने मुस्कुराकर मेरा स्वागत किया.!! मेरे हाथ में Bag देखकर पूछने लगे
इसमें क्या है.?

मैंने कहा इसमें मेरे जीवन भर
की कमाई है, पांच करोड़ रूपये हैं ।  इन्द्र ने SVG 6767934 नम्बर के Locker की ओर इशारा करते हुए कहा- आपकी अमानत इसमें रख
दीजिये.!!

मैंने Bag रख दी.!!
मुझे एक Room भी दिया.!!
मैं Fresh होकर Market में
निकला.!! देवलोक के Shopping मॉल मे अदभूत वस्तुएं देखकर मेरा मन ललचा गया.

मैंने कुछ चीजें पसन्द करके Basket में डाली, और काउंटर पर जाकर उन्हें हजार हजार के करारे नोटें देने लगा.
Manager ने नोटों को देखकर कहा यह करेंसी यहाँ नहीं चलती.!!

यह सुनकर मैं हैरान रह गया.!!
मैंने इंद्र के पास Complaint की इंद्र ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा कि आप व्यापारी होकर इतना भी नहीं जानते? कि आपकी करेंसी बाजु के मुल्क पाकिस्तान, श्रीलंका और बांगलादेश में भी नही चलती.?
और आप मृत्यूलोक की करेंसी स्वर्गलोक में चलाने की मूर्खता कर रहे हो.!! यह सब सुनकर मुझे मानो साँप सूंघ गया.!!

मैं जोर जोर से दहाड़े मारकर रोने लगा और परमात्मा सेदरखास्त करने लगा, हे भगवान् ये क्या हो गया ? मैंने कितनी मेहनत से ये पैसा कमाया ?
दिन नही देखा, रात नही देखा, पैसा कमाया.!! माँ बाप की सेवा नही की, पैसा कमाया बच्चों की परवरीश नही की, पैसा कमाया! पत्नी की सेहत की ओर ध्यान नही दिया, पैसा कमाया.!!

रिश्तेदार, भाईबन्द, परिवार और यार दोस्तों से भी किसी तरह की हमदर्दी न रखते हुए पैसा कमाया.!!
जीवन भर हाय पैसा हाय पैसा किया. ना चैन से सोया, ना चैन से खाया.. बस, जिंदगी भर पैसा कमाया.!
और यह सब व्यर्थ गया..
हाय राम, अब क्या होगा ??

इंद्र ने कहा,-
रोने से कुछ हासिल होने वाला नहीं है. जिनजिन लोगोने यहाँ जितना भी पैसा लाया,सब रद्दी हो गया.

जमशेद जी टाटा के 55 हजार करोड़ रूपये, बिरला जी के 47 हजार करोड़ रूपये, धीरू भाई अम्बानी के 29 हजार करोड़ अमेरिकन डॉलर.. सबका पैसा यहां पड़ा है.!!

मैंने इंद्र से पूछा-
फिर यहां पर कौनसी करेंसी चलती है?

इंद्र ने कहा :
धरती पर अगर कुछ अच्छे कर्म किये है.जैसे किसी दुखियारे को मदद की, किसी रोते हुए को हसाया, किसी गरीब बच्ची की शादी कर दी, किसी अनाथ बच्चे को पढ़ा लिखा कर काबिल बनाया. किसी को व्यसनमुक्त किया.किसी अपंग स्कुल, वृद्धाश्रम या मंदिरों में दान धर्म किया..
ऐसे पूण्य कर्म करने वालों को यहाँ पर एक Credit Card मिलता है.
और उसे वापर कर आप यहाँ स्वर्गीय सुख का उपभोग ले सकते है.!!

मैंने कहा भगवन, मुझे यह पता नहीं था. इसलिए मैंने अपना जीवन व्यर्थ गँवा दिया.!!

हे प्रभु,
मुझे थोडा आयुष्य दीजिये.और मैं गिड़गिड़ाने लगा.!!  इंद्र को मुझ पर दया आ गई.!!

इंद्र ने तथास्तु कहा और मेरी नींद खुल गयी. मैं जाग गया....
अब मैं वो दौलत कमाऊँगा जो वहाँ चलेगी.

Pray when it's calm

Story of about a Captain who skippered a boat taking tourists to Islands.

On one trip, the boat was full of young people. They laughed at the old captain when they saw him say a prayer before sailing out, because the day was fine and the sea was calm.

However they weren't long at sea when a storm suddenly blew up and the boat began to roll & pitch violently. The terrified passengers came to the captain and asked him to join them in prayer.

But he replied, "I say my prayers when it's calm. When it's rough I attend to my ship."

A lesson for us... :

If we cannot seek God in quiet moments of our lives; we are not likely to find Him when trouble strikes❗

Give without expecting. Karna & Arjunaa

Once Krishna and Arjuna were walking towards a village. Arjuna was pestering Krishna, asking him why Karna should be considered an unparallelled Donor & not him ?

Krishna, turned two mountains into gold.

Then said,  "Arjuna, distribute these two gold mountains among villagers, but you must donate every bit of it ".

Arjuna went into the village, and proclaimed he was going to donate gold to every villager, and asked them to gather near the mountain. The villagers sang his praises and Arjuna walked towards the mountains with a huffed up chest.

For two days and two nights Arjuna shovelled gold from the mountain and donated to each villager. The mountains did not diminish in the slightest.

Most villagers came back and stood in queue within minutes. Now Arjuna was exhausted, but not ready to let go of his  Ego, told Krishna he couldn't go on any longer without rest.

Then Krishna called Karna and told him to donate every bit of the two gold mountains.

Karna called the  villagers,  and said "Those two Gold mountains are yours. " and walked away.

Arjuna sat dumbfounded. Why hadn't this thought occurred to him?

Krishna smiled mischievously and told him "Arjuna, subconsciously, you were attracted to the gold, you regretfully gave it away to each villager, giving them what you thought was a generous amount. Thus the size of your donation to each villager depended only on your imagination.

Karna holds no such reservations. Look at him walking away after giving away a fortune, he doesn't expect people to sing his praises, he doesn't even care if people talk good or bad about him behind his back. That is the sign of a man already on the path of enlightenment".

Giving with an Expectation of a Return in the form of a Compliment or Thanks is not a Gift, then it becomes a Trade.

Give without expecting anything in Return.

બીજાને ખુશ કરવા એ સૌથી મોટુ સુખ છે

આ લેખ વાંચતા માત્ર 1 મિનિટ લાગશે અને તમારો વિચાર બદલાઇ જશે.

બે પુરુષો ગંભીરપણે બીમાર હતા અને બેઉને એક જ રુમમાં રાખ્યા હતાં..
એક માણસને તેના ફેફસામાંના પ્રવાહી કચરાના નિકાસ માટે દર બપોરે એક કલાક માટે તેમના પલંગ માં બેઠા થવાની પરવાનગી આપવામાં આવી હતી.
રૂમમાં ફક્ત એકજ બારી હતી અને તેની પાસે આ ભાઇનો પલંગ હતો.
જ્યારે બીજા માણસને હંમેશા લાંબા થઇને સૂતાં જ રહેવું પડતું.
આ બન્ને કલાકો સુધી વાતો કર્યા કરતા.તેઓ તેમના પત્ની, પરિવાર, ઘર, નોકરી, તેઓ વેકેશનમાં ક્યાં ક્યાં ફરવા જતા વગેરે વિશે વાતો કરતાં ..
દરરોજ બપોરે, જ્યારે પહેલો માણસ બેઠો થતો ત્યારે બેઠા બેઠા બીજાં દર્દી ને બારીની બહારની દુનિયાં નું વર્ણન કરતાં સમય પસાર કરતો. બપોરનો આ એક કલાક બીજા માણસ માટે જાણે જીવંત બની જતો અને તેની દુનિયા હોસ્પિટલનાં રૂમ સુધી સિમિત ન રહેતા બહારનાં વિશ્વ સુધી પહોંચતી...
"બારીની બહાર એક સુંદર બગીચો અને તળાવ છે. તળાવમાં બતક અને હંસ રમે છે. બીજી તરફ બાળકો કાગળની હોડી બનાવીને રમે છે. વિવિધ રંગના ફુલો વચ્ચે પ્રેમી યુગલો હાથમાં હાથ નાખીને ચાલી રહ્યા છે અને દૂર ક્ષિતિજ સુધી વિશાળ આકાશનું નયનરમ્ય દ્શ્ય નજરે ચડે છે..." પહેલો માણસ જ્યારે આવું વર્ણન કરતો ત્યારે બીજો માણસ પોતાની આંખો બંધ કરીને કલ્પનામાં આ બધુ નિહાળતો.
એક ઉષ્માભરી બપોરે પહેલા માણસે નજીકથી પસાર થતી પરેડનું વર્ણન કર્યુ જોકે બીજા માણસને પરેડ બેન્ડનો અવાજ સંભળાતો નહોતો પરંતુ તે પોતાની કલ્પનામાં આ દ્શ્ય જોઇ શકતો હતો.
આ રીતે દિવસો અને મહિનાઓ પસાર થવા લાગ્યા....

એક દિવસ સવારે,નર્સ તેમના સ્નાન માટે પાણી લાવ્યા અને જોયું તો પહેલી વ્યક્તિ ચિર નિદ્રામાં પોઢી ગઇ હતી પલંગ પર ફક્ત તેનું ફક્ત નિર્જીવ શરીર પડ્યું હતું.
નર્સને અત્યંત દુખ થયું અને હોસ્પિટલ એટેન્ડન્ટ્સને બોલાવી શરીર લઇ જવા માટે કહેવામાં આવ્યુ.
બારી પાસેનો પલંગ ખાલી પડયો!
થોડા દિવસો પછી...બીજા વ્યક્તિએ પોતાને બારી પાસેનાં પલંગ પર ખસેડવાની ઇચ્છા વ્યક્ત કરી. નર્સે પણ ખુશી ખુશી તેમને ત્યાં ખસેડવાની વ્યવસ્થા કરી અને જતાં રહ્યા.
હવે આ વ્યક્તિ એ ધીમે ધીમે, થોડું કષ્ટ કરીને, બારી પાસે બેઠાં થવાની કોશિશ કરી. એક હાથની કોણી કોણી ટેકવી તેમણે બહારની વાસ્તવિક દુનિયાનો પ્રથમ દેખાવ લેવા માટે પોતાની નજર ફેરવી અને જોયું તો શું?
બારીની સામે ફક્ત એક દિવાલ હતી. તેને કઇ સમજાયું નહીં. તેણે નર્સને પુછ્યું પહેલો વ્યક્તિ શા માટે બારીની બહાર અદ્ભુત વસ્તુઓનું વર્ણન્ કરતો? - જ્યારે અહીં તો ખાલી દિવાલ જ છે!
નર્સે કહ્યું "પેલો માણસ અંધ હતો અને આ દિવાલ પણ જોઈ ન શકતો, તે તો ફક્ત તમને પ્રોત્સાહિત કરવા માગતો હતો!"

ઉપસંહાર:
બીજાને ખુશ કરવા એ સૌથી મોટુ સુખ છે પછી આપણી પરિસ્થિતિ ગમે તે હોય! દુઃખ વહેંચવાથી અડધુ થાય છે, અને સુખ વહેંચવાથી બમણું થાય છે. તમને સમૃદ્ધિનો અનુભવ કરવો હોય તો તે વસ્તુઓની ગણતરી કરો જે તમારી પાસે છે અને પૈસાથી ખરીદી નથી શકાતી!"
આજ તો સૌગાદ છે તેથી જ તો તેને "Present" કહેવાય છે.
